It is surprising to see that even those who come from excellent English speaking background do not clear IELTS Reading Test. Why? The reason is simple withough learning the right techniques of Reading, one can not master SPEED and PRECISION to answer Reading Questions.

Top Strategies To Score High In IELTS Reading:

 –  Read Less Understand More: Do not read the PASSAGE; read the MESSAGE. Focus on KEYWORDS.
 –  First Slow Then Fast: Focus on PRECISION FIRST. Then focus on SPEED

Learn the discourse markers, such as However, But, Further, Furthermore, Nevertheless, Eventually, Finally, In fact. These words indicate a trasition 

 – Learn How To Guess Meanings Of Difficult Words: 

You may find some difficult vocabulary in your IELTS test. Do not pay attention to difficult words. You do not need to know their exact meaning. You can easily guess the meaning by understanding the context.

 – Learn How To Deal With Unfamiliar Topics:  

Irrespective of your knoweldge on varity of topics, there would be some blind spots: topics about which you are totally unaware. How to deal with such topics?

Well, you do not need to know everything about everything. A superficial idea of the premise is enough to answer the Reading Comprehension Questions.
